Dr. Kirk Dawson is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and he has been a diplomat of the Board since 1993. Born in Washington, and raised in this area, he completed his undergraduate studies at Saint Martin’s University. He then completed his postgraduate training at University of Osteopathic Medicine in DesMoines, Iowa, followed by residency in family medicine through University of Iowa. He moved back to Washington in 1992, and began work at Yelm Family Medicine. He shares additional responsibilities as medical director of a number of skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Thurston and Mason Counties. His areas of special interest include medicine, geriatrics, and urgent care. He lives in the area with his wife Sherri and two daughters, Brittney and Megan. His personal interests include endurance hiking, cycling, and fishing. |
